Category 8 (CAT.8)

40Gbps Ultra-High Speed Shielded Network Cable

These NEW Cat.8 all series have

40Gbps ultra-high-speed transmission.

Shielded (S/FTP) network patch cords.

Four pairs of multi-strand core wires (26AWG).

Double-layer shielding design for each pair of individual aluminium foil isolation plus copper mesh for total isolation.

There are a variety of Ethernet cables on the market, such as Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, Cat7, Cat7a, Cat8

Cat5 Ethernet cable has a standard bandwidth of 100 MHz and a maximum length of 100 meters, providing connection speeds of up to 100 Mbps

Cat5e (Cat5 enhanced) is the cheapest, but it is also the slowest at one gigabit per second (Gbps), a frequency of 100 MHz

Cat6 cable consists of four pairs of copper wires and supports Ethernet connections up to 10Gbps. Under normal circumstances, within a range of 100 meters, it supports a maximum transmission speed of up to 1 Gbps.

Cat6a cable is an enhanced version of the Cat6 Ethernet cable and can maintain a data rate of 10 Gbps over distances of up to 100 meters.

Cat7 cables also supports high-speed Ethernet communications up to 10Gbps while it can provide frequencies up to 600MHz up from the Cat6a at a standard 500 MHz  to 550 MHz.

The Cat8 cable v Cat7 comparison, transmission frequency and cabling length are also of great importance. Cat7 cable offers the performance of up to 600 MHz while Cat8 cable up to 2000 MHz. The maximum cabling length of Cat7 network cable is 100m with 10 Gbps while Cat8 of 30m with 25 Gbps or 40 Gbps.

How do they perform: In a Streaming World when everything is good we forget the connection and when it is not , it is very much not so. We often ask why and often look to the the poor component which can only digest what it is being fed so why not assist and improve to connection, simply feed the machine a healthy dose of data.  In terms of Audiophile Hacks, improvements or Tweaks it would be one of the least expensive to invest in, we have done the hard work in evaluation so, relax and enjoy the benefits.
